This June, it will be 70 years since the Empire Windrush arrived in the UK from Jamaica. In Bath, Christ Church was the church which welcomed those West Indians who arrived from 1948 onwards.
At the request of the Caribbean community our 10am Eucharist on 24th June will have a Caribbean flavour. The Rainbow Steel Band, one of the oldest steel band in the country, will play. The service will be followed by 30 minutes of poems and memories from the the Caribbean community, then from 12:00-2.30pm there will be a BBQ.
Please join us to celebrate everything that the "Windrush Generation" have contributed to the life of Christ Church, Bath and the UK.
