Updated 8th January 2021
In light of the current national lockdown, Christ Church Council met online to carefully consider whether it is appropriate to continue offering communal worship. After considering all views, including those expressed in a letter to ministers from the Bishop of Taunton, we have decided with heavy hearts that we will suspend services with a congregation in the church building at the current time. The 10am Sunday and 11am Thursday services will be streamed on the Facebook page for everyone to join from the safety of their own homes:

We know that some people will be very disappointed by this decision. It is obviously a matter of huge regret, and it was not a decision taken lightly. However, after serious discussion of views both for and against continuing with congregation present in the building it was decided that it was needed for the protection of the congregation, wider community and health services during this critial phase of the pandemic when case numbers across the country are so high.
The church will remain open for private prayer on Wednesday afternoons from 2 - 4pm for anyone local who may want to drop in. We also continue to meet for morning prayer each weekday at 8am on Zoom - contact Lore for details if you would like to join.
If you need assistance in accessing the services on Facebook, please contact Jude Bishop who will be happy to guide you through the process. She can be contacted via This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
Transcripts of the sermons will also be uploaded to the Sermons page. We can share in prayer using the daily Christ Church Prayer Cycle.

‘Prayer in time of coronavirus’.
Keep us, good Lord,
under the shadow of your mercy
in this time of uncertainty and distress.
Sustain and support the anxious and fearful,
and lift up all who are brought low;
that we may rejoice in your comfort
knowing that nothing can separate us from your love
in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Amen.
