Our charity of the month for May is the USPG Partners in Mission programme in Malawi. USPG have recently launched a new website specifically dedicated to the Malawi project, which you can access here - do take a look to read the latest updates.
You can donate here: https://uspg-donation-form.raisely.com. Make sure you specify it is for the Partners in Mission programme in Malawi. If you include "RE103 Christ Church Bath" in the box where you have the option to specify that you are making a donation on behalf of a church, USPG can collate all donations sent from Christ Church, including loose change, individual direct debits and individual online donations, and will send us an annual total.
Christ Church is delighted to be welcoming leading English folk fiddle player, Sam Sweeney, to give an exclusive, acoustic, solo performance.
Nominated four times, and winner in 2015, of Musician Of The Year BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, Sam is a veteran of the mighty Bellowhead, former and inaugural artistic director of the National Folk Youth Ensemble, founder member of the acclaimed instrumental trio Leveret, and a superb instrumentalist at the forefront of the revival in English traditional music.
Described by Mark Radcliffe of BBC Radio 2 as “One of the defining English fiddle players of his generation” and by Verity Sharp on BBC Radio 3 as “The fiddler with the golden ear when it comes to hunting out tunes!”, Sam is guaranteed to provide an enchanting evening of tunes. An evening not to be missed!
The concert is at 7:30pm on 18th June, and tickets are available from Bath Box Office priced at £16 for full price, £10 for students, and £5 for under 18s.
