In light of the current national lockdown, Christ Church Council met online to carefully consider whether it is appropriate to continue offering communal worship. After considering all views, including those expressed in a letter to ministers from the Bishop of Taunton, we have decided with heavy hearts that we will suspend services with a congregation in the church building at the current time.
The 10am Sunday services will be streamed on the Facebook page for everyone to join from the safety of their own homes:

The 11am Thursday Eucharist services and 8am morning prayer each weekday are being run on Zoom. Please contact Lore (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. / 07595 294146) for more details or an invitation to join the Zoom session.
We know that some people will be very disappointed by this decision. It is obviously a matter of huge regret, and it was not a decision taken lightly. However, after serious discussion of views both for and against continuing with congregation present in the building it was decided that it was needed for the protection of the congregation, wider community and health services during this critial phase of the pandemic when case numbers across the country are so high.
The church will remain open for private prayer on Wednesday afternoons from 2 - 4pm for anyone local who may want to drop in.
In February we are again supporting USPG's programmme in Malawi. Coronavirus rates there have shot up since the New Year. Part of USPG's programme in Malawi focusses on water, sanitation and hygiene, all vital in the fight against coronavirus. We too often take our own bathroom facilities for granted, and have no idea of how we'd get on without at least one wash basin or toilet. Why not count up the number of taps you have in your house and make a donation for each tap?
You can donate at https://donations.uspg.org.uk/ You are able to specify it is for Partners in Mission, and then choose Malawi. You are also able to say that you are donating on behalf of your church; this way, USPG are able to send us a yearly total of what we as a church have donated.
